ZAP anti-bullying and assertiveness workshops

ZAP is a one-day workshop for children and young people aged 9-16 who have experienced bullying and their parents or carers, funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

It is an informed, practical day that offers young people a range of strategies that will help them to deal with bullying situations safely and assertively, and gives parents an opportunity to gain expert knowledge of how to effectively support their child.

The format of ZAP workshops for both young people and parents are informal and approached in a way that encourages involvement. Skills are learnt through interactive activities and the ethos of the workshop is based on acceptance and friendship. This training method enables even the most nervous and withdrawn child to feel comfortable in participating.
