Fundraising Officer (maternity cover)

  • 4 days per week, 9-12 month contract
  • £21,924 (actual salary for 4 days per week)

We are looking for a fundraising officer to cover maternity leave for an initial period of 9 months from early May 2017 (with possibility of extension). It's an exciting time to be joining Kidscape, as our new Chief Executive joined us in January, and the fundraising team has ambitious plans.

It's a fantastic and varied role, which is key to the successful delivery of Kidscape’s fundraising strategy from 2016-2018. You will be joining a small fundraising team of two staff and one volunteer, but will work closely with all other project and operational staff.

The role is multi-disciplinary and will require experience of several fundraising disciplines, particularly individual and community giving. You will have primary responsibility for our new Guardians programme (regular giving scheme), which is in its infancy and expected to grow, as well as co-ordinating a number of events over the year. You will be supported and guided by the Head of Fundraising as necessary but will be expected to initiate, develop and carry out projects independently and take responsibility for their successful completion.
