Kat Fuller, Parent Support Adviser

Hi, my name is Kat and I'm very excited to be starting as the new Parent Support Adviser at Kidscape. My role is to support and advise parents, carers and other family members who are concerned about their child being bullied.

I have over ten years experience in supporting families and young people in various settings. I previously worked as a Family Support Worker in a primary school for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. In this role I supported parents and carers in a variety of ways, from helping them with their own relationship with their child, to supporting them to be more involved in their child’s education. I also undertook direct work with pupils, and supported staff on safeguarding issues.

Prior to that I worked in family support roles within the Local Authority and several charities. In all of my roles I have been able to offer valuable emotional support as well as advice and guidance, with the aim of empowering families to make the decisions that are right for them.

Throughout my career I have been passionate about improving the mental health of children and young people and supporting their caregivers in doing the same. I feel privileged to be part of Kidscape’s valuable work and can’t wait to begin answering your calls and emails.
