Earl and Countess of Wessex see Kidscape in action
We were absolutely thrilled to welcome HRH The Earl of Wessex, accompanied by the Countess of Wessex, to Robert Browning School on Monday 10 March.
The Wessex Youth Trust, which was founded by the Earl and Countess shortly after their wedding in 1999, has supported Kidscape's work in the past and the Earl decided to visit some charities funded by the Trust as part of his 50th birthday celebrations.
Kidscape has recently been delivering its Bullying Intervention Training programme at the school, and staff and pupils were delighted to show the Earl and Countess what they had been learning. Kidscape's patron Anthony Horowitz was also in attendance, working with a year 6 class who had been studying one of his Alex Rider novels.
Their Royal Highnesses were treated to beautiful singing by the school choir and the prince was presented with an incredible 5-tiered birthday cake. Our huge thanks go to all those at Robert Browning School, the Wessex Youth Trust, Anthony Horowitz and Olivia Zampi for making the occasion an event to remember.
