Writing competition to raise awareness of cyber bullying

The Anti-Bullying Alliance have joined forces with Random House Children's Publishers UK to raise awareness of cyber bullying through a writing competition for 8-18 year olds.

Part of Anti-Bullying Week, the competition is split into two groups:

  • The 8-12 years group will be judged by the young, talented writer and illustrator of Darcy Burdock, Laura Dockrill. A graduate of the Brits School of Performing Arts, Laura has been dubbed one of The Times 'top ten literary talents' and named in the 'top twenty hot faces to watch' by Elle magazine.
  • The 13-18 year olds will be judged by incredible new writer John Lucas, author of gritty novel Turf, received with a swathe of glowing national reviews including the Financial Times who proclaimed it 'a terrific debut'.

Prizes include Random House books and a visit from the judges. The competition closes at midnight on Monday 30 September.
