RISE transition support

Supporting transitions

The Kidscape RISE programme supports children with the transition from primary school to secondary school, and has also been adapted to support children with the return to school post Covid-19.  The programme includes a two hour workshop and is available as a Train the Trainer programme for staff, or through directly delivery (depending on staff capacity and funding).

About the workshop

Through taking part in a RISE workshop children are supported to:

  • Develop a positive sense of self
  • Understand how to manage change
  • Make friends with others and be a good friend
  • Recognise and respond to bullying behaviour
  • Know how to speak up and get help

Workshops are two hours in length and designed to be delivered in a classroom setting, with a combination of scenarios, role plays and discussions.

How to take part in the RISE programme

Kidscape staff have availability to deliver the RISE programme as a Train the Trainer programme to school staff (currently through virtual delivery).    If you are interested in registering your interest please email rise@kidscape.org.uk.
