Parent support adviser
Part-time (2 days per week) - flexible location £24-25,000 FTE
One of our key services is our Anti-bullying Parent Advice Line, which operates to support parents or carers of those children who are experiencing bullying. We offer individual, personalised support to callers, helping them to understand how best to help their child and identify any steps they need to take with schools or other authorities.
As parent support adviser you would be expected to take calls and emails from members of the public and be able to give them specific, relevant advice on their individual situation. You will need to have an excellent knowledge of the avenues available to parents, and will work closely with project managers of other Kidscape projects so that callers can be directed to the most appropriate source of support. It's the perfect role for someone with experience of helpline work or family support work, who has a real desire to help people when they are going through extremely difficult situations.
This is a part-time role, working 2 days per week with flexibility regarding location (the job could be home-based or from our office near Victoria station).
