Argos has today announced its decision to withdraw from sale teenage thongs from its Argos Additions catalogue. A spokeswoman said: "We are committed to providing the greatest possible choice to our customers of all ages.
However we have taken into account issues raised over the last few days by our customers about this product range. We have therefore decided to stop selling the thongs with immediate effect."
She added: "We will be talking to Kidscape about our childrenswear range for the future."
Michele Elliott from Kidscape said: "I always knew that Argos was a respectable family orientated business and I am delighted that they have taken this decision. I will continue to support them."
