Schools' Ban on Photographic\Video Equipment in Nativity Plays
Michele Elliott, director of the child protection charity Kidscape strongly disagrees with the position taken by the City of Edinburgh Council (and other schools):
" I think that there is very little argument to say that this is
a sensible precaution. I have spoken with Jim Reynolds, who is the former
head of the paedophile unit at New Scotland Yard and an international
expert in paedophilia. It is his opinion and my opinion and many other
people's opinion that we are putting a layer of bureaucracy on children's
activities that is really not called for given the evidence that we have."
