Facing the Fear! Kidscape Conference

Kidscape conducted a national study of children aged 10-12 asking their feelings on the secondary school transfer. Of the 500 children surveyed:

64% expressed fear and worry about the upcoming secondary transfer, and
38% of those children were so concerned that they seriously contemplated missing school
28% had missed 5 days or more because of bullying or unresolved issues of anxiety

The pioneering conference will give teachers practical and creative approaches to prevent bullying whilst promoting citizenship during this crucial transition time.

Michele Elliott, Director of Kidscape will chair the day and talk about how Kidscape helps children stay safe from bullying, stranger abduction and abuse by known adults.
