Kidscape
Kidscape is committed to keeping children safe. We are
the first National Charity dedicated to preventing bullying
and child abuse.
Kidscape offers..
A Helpline
We receive over 12,000 calls a year from parents worried about
bullying. Our trained counsellors offer practical advice to help
parents support their children and to advise them on the best
ways to approach the school to make sure the bullying stops.
The Helpline is available on 08451 205 204
Monday-Friday from 10.00am-4.00pm.
Calls cost no more than 5p per minute from BT landline phones
but may cost more using phones from other providers.
ZAP: Confidence Building Courses for Bullied Children
Kidscape offers free confidence-building sessions for over 200
young people every year who have been bullied. Left unaided they
may become increasingly withdrawn, school-phobic, self-harming or
suicidal. more...
Booklets and literature
Our staff write and distribute a range of leaflets, booklets,
videos and posters for children, parents and front-line carers suggesting.

Child Safety Training
We offer free and subsidised training in low-key, non-sensational
ways of ‘Good Sense Defence’ for children and those
who care for them throughout the UK. We work with parents, schools,
youth groups, police and social services. more...
Advice and Information Sharing
We help parents and children cope with developmental difficulties
and child protection matters and also share information with other
organisations. Last year, over 68,000 children, parents and professionals
visited our website for immediate online
advice and support. The Home Office has used our literature
and research for public education purposes.
