Specsavers eyes up support for Kidscape

Kidscape is thrilled to announce that they have been chosen as Specsavers’ charity of the year 2008.

Specsavers will be supporting Kidscape through their Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition, fronted by celebrity stylist and TV star Gok Wan, and will be donating £1 from every eligible entry to Kidscape and fundraising in individual stores throughout the UK and Ireland.

Michele Elliott, Kidscape’s Chief Executive, said: “Sadly bullies do target children who wear glasses. We are absolutely thrilled that Specsavers will be helping us show that wearing glasses is stylish, cool and trendy and that anyone who wears glasses is beautiful.”

The 2008 Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition is now open and entries can be made online at www.swoty.com or you can pick up an entry form in your local Specsavers branch.
