Organising your own Events for Kidscape

Sky DiveOrganising an event is a great way to raise vital funds for Kidscape.

Whatever you have in mind (so long as it is safe and legal!) Kidscape welcomes you.

Whether you think you can raise £10 or £10,000, every amount can make a difference to Kidscape helping to protect children from bullying and child abuse.

Karen decided to celebrate her 40th birthday with a bang – a sponsored 13,000 ft skydive for Kidscape!

“I wanted to raise money for Kidscape because my brother was bullied at school for many years, and felt too ashamed or embarrassed to tell anyone. For me it means so much to be able to help others suffering in the same way with no one to turn to.”

Thomas is taking on two challenges this year for Kidscape!

Lands End*He, with a team of two other intrepid cyclists, has cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats in a three week off-road adventure. Overcoming some mishaps and setbacks, including having a bike stolen, they crossed the finish line on schedule!

But as if that wasn’t tough enough he is also swimming the English Channel later on this year! Watch out for those jellyfish Thomas!

John, Andy, Jonny and Steve are fundraising for Kidscape in memory of their friend Mark Elkington. They are undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge, a race against the clock to climb the three tallest peaks in Britain in 24 hours.

"Our Friend, Mark Elkington, died tragically last November in a road traffic accident. Mark was planning to do the Three Peaks challenge himself this year to raise money for charity so his friends thought it would be a fitting tribute to take up the challenge in his memory. In his role as a well liked and respected teacher, Mark was able to stamp out bullying within his school so it was only fitting to choose an anti-bullying charity to benefit from their efforts"
