You can navigate around the Kidscape web site using keyboard shortcuts.

As part of the World Wide Web Consortiums accessibility guidelines, most browsers now support access keys, enabling navigation of web sites using a combination of the Alt key and letters\numbers for PC users, Command key and letters\numbers for Mac uupers.

Throughout this site the sections shown in the top navigation bar can be accessed in the following ways, using the Alt key and keys on the right of your keyboard. The examples shown are for a PC:

If you use Internet Explorer 5 or above, use the keystrokes and then press Enter.
If you use Internet Explorer 4 or Netscape 4 and above, just use the keystrokes
Opera users will be able to use the same keys, although there may be some clashes with menu options.

The side navigation bars use a combination on the Alt key and numbers 1 to 9, with Alt+1 representing the top link, Alt+2 the next link etc.
