Actor George Rainsford currently stars as Dr Ethan Hardy in Casualty, and was previously nominated for the Best Actor award in the 2017 TV Choice Awards. George is also well known for his role as Jimmy in Call The Midwife.
As a devoted Kidscape ambassador, George has completed both Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2019 and the virtual London Landmarks Half Marathon during lockdown restrictions in 2020, both raising vital funds for children and families.
During Anti-Bullying Week and Friendship Friday 2020, George put together a special bedtime reading of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, encouraging all listeners to know they have a role to play in creating a world that is friendlier and kinder.
"I think a lot of families worry about bullying and the possibility of their own children being victims of bullying. Being a parent myself, it is something that concerns you. The work that Kidscape does is absolutely invaluable. Their work enables children and families to work through issues of bullying with specific, practical advice to prevent the suffering of young people. We all want our children to feel safe and empowered. Kidscape does just that. Which is why I am truly honoured to be an ambassador"
